Dual Folded Motion tweeters are angled to spread sound broadly around the room, creating an enveloping, non-directional surround field, while a 5.25-inch woofer and Folded Motion Cascading Bass-Reflex Port provide deep, detailed bass from a compact cabinet.

Folded Motion Tweeters

Each Folded Motion tweeter uses an extremely low-mass, pleated diaphragm that "squeezes" air, needing far less excursion than a typical 1-inch dome. The result is very low distortion, lightning-fast response and wide yet controlled dispersion, ideal for convincing surround effects.

Engineered for Surround

MartinLogan's in-house engineers refined the most advanced compact technologies to give Motion FX an engaging, natural sound that rivals much larger and more expensive speakers, so effects and ambience move seamlessly around the listener.

Specifications

Specifications are subject to change without notice.

Frequency Response

70–25,000 Hz ±3dB

Recommended Amplifier Power

20–160 watts per channel

Dispersion

Horizontal 160°, Vertical 80°

Sensitivity

91 dB/2.83 volts/metre

Impedance

4 Ohms (compatible with 4, 6 or 8 Ohm amplifiers)

Crossover Frequency

4,500 Hz

High Frequency Transducer

Two 1" × 1.4" Folded Motion transducers with 5.25" × 1.75" diaphragm

Low Frequency Transducer

5.25" (13.3cm) paper cone with cast aluminium basket; non-resonant asymmetrical chamber; rigid structured dust cap; folded bass reflex port

Components

Custom air-core coil inductors, polyester film and low-DF electrolytic capacitors; system thermal/current protection

Inputs

Push-style with banana jacks

Dimensions

28.2 × 30.5 × 15.2 cm (11.1" × 12" × 6")

Weight

4.4 kg (9.5 lbs)

Finish

Matte White

Sold As

Each
