Key Technologies
Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+)
Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) has an astonishingly smooth and pure surface. Proprietary metal-processing technology protects the wire's surface at every stage of drawing and fabrication. When high-purity low-oxide copper is kept as soft, pure, and smooth as possible, it becomes a wonderfully low-distortion PSC+ conductor. PSC+ is manufactured by applying the same exceptional technology to an ultra-pure copper+ metal blend incorporating a small amount of ultra-pure silver. The resulting sound quality is even more remarkable.
Direction-Controlled Solid Conductors
All drawn metal strands or conductors have a non-symmetrical, and therefore directional, grain structure. AudioQuest controls the resulting RF impedance variation so that noise is drained away from where it will cause distortion. The correct direction is determined by listening to every batch of metal conductors used in every AudioQuest audio cable. When applicable, arrows are clearly marked on the connectors to ensure superior sound quality.
Conductive Carbon-Loaded Extrusion
The carbon-loaded extrusion covering the PSC+ conductors provides an additional layer of RF noise rejection. This conductive layer helps dissipate high-frequency interference before it can affect the audio signal, ensuring cleaner sound reproduction.
500 Series Hanging-Silver Plated Purple Copper Connectors
AudioQuest's 500 Series connectors feature Hanging-Silver plating over Purple Copper for superior conductivity and corrosion resistance. The direct-silver plating is optimized for sound quality, while the design ensures secure, reliable connections that maintain signal integrity.
Performance Benefits
- Superior BiWire Performance: Designed specifically for bi-wiring applications, these jumpers optimize the connection between high and low-frequency binding posts on bi-wire capable speakers.
- Reduced RF Interference: Carbon-loaded extrusion effectively reduces radio-frequency pick-up that can degrade audio quality.
- Enhanced Signal Purity: Perfect-Surface Copper+ conductors minimize distortion and preserve musical detail.
- Directional Optimization: Direction-controlled design ensures noise is drained away from critical signal paths.
- Premium Connectivity: 500 Series Hanging-Silver plated connectors provide excellent conductivity and long-term reliability.
- Flexible Configuration: Spade to banana configuration simplifies connections where speaker cables attach.
- Complete Set: Set of 4 jumpers provides everything needed for bi-wire speaker connections.
Ideal Applications
- Bi-Wire Capable Loudspeakers
- High-End Home Theater Systems
- Audiophile Stereo Systems
- Premium Speaker Installations
- Upgrading Standard Bi-Wire Jumper Plates
- Professional Audio Monitoring Systems
Compatibility
These jumpers are designed for speakers with bi-wire terminals (dual binding posts for high and low frequencies). The spade to banana configuration allows flexible connection options depending on your speaker cable terminations and speaker binding post preferences.
Caring for your Speakers and Amplifiers
To Keep your equipment safe these are some best practices to note. Please be advised that this is only to reduce the risk of misuse and is not an exhaustive list.
Speakers
- Speaker terminals are marked red and black, ensure your amplifier to the speakers are wired on the same colours
- Ensure no loose speaker wire from the red touches a loose wire from the black as this will lead to a short circuit and damage either the speaker, the amplifier or both.
- Not all speakers are designed to play at max volume, kindly consider the pairing of your amplifier and speakers
- Speaker cabinets cannot be replaced please handle with care.
AV & Stereo Amplifiers
- If your amplifier has HDMI ports, ensure all devices are off before plugging in the HDMI cable
- Turn off the amplifier before swoping out or adding speaker cable
- Amplifiers generate heat, place them in a well ventilated space. if possible avoid having anything on top of the unit.
- adding a surge protector can assist with power dips which are likely to damage your devices. Isotek and Furman are industry standard.
- Dusty environments can sometimes lead to accumulation of dust in the electronic components that might affect heat regulation
