Barco Heimdall — Native 4K RGB Laser Projector | 4,500 ANSI Lumens | 98% REC.2020
The Barco Heimdall is Barco Residential’s first native 4K single-chip DLP projector, powered by a solid-state RGB laser light engine. Delivering 4,500 ANSI lumens with a native resolution of 4,096 × 2,176 pixels and 98% REC.2020 colour gamut coverage, Heimdall produces an extraordinarily vivid, true-to-life image that sets a new standard for dedicated home cinema.
Native 4K Resolution — 4,096 × 2,176
Unlike pixel-shifted 4K projectors, Heimdall uses a single-chip 4K DMD to deliver every pixel natively — resulting in unmatched sharpness, detail, and clarity across the entire screen, from edge to edge.
Solid-State RGB Laser Light Engine
Heimdall’s brand-new solid-state RGB laser engine has no moving parts, delivering exceptional reliability and a laser lifetime of 25,000 hours at 100% power. The RGB architecture eliminates the colour wheel entirely, enabling the full REC.2020 colour gamut — faithful reproduction of every colour in every movie, exactly as the director intended.
DynaBlack® — Up to 20,000:1 Contrast
DynaBlack® analyses each frame of video and uses ultra-fast processing combined with laser pulsing to dynamically enhance contrast on a frame-by-frame basis — making dark scenes darker and bright scenes brighter for a truly cinematic dynamic range of up to 20,000:1.
Next-Generation Pulse Platform & SSP™
Barco’s Pulse electronics simplify the signal path from source to screen with Single Step Processing (SSP™), delivering geometry correction, warping, blending, and more with virtually no latency — even at 120Hz in native 4K resolution. This makes Heimdall equally exceptional for cinematic viewing and high-performance gaming.
HDMI™ 2.1 Connectivity
HDMI™ 2.1 (HDCP 2.3) supports frame rates up to 120Hz at 4K resolution with 12-bit colour depth — the ideal match for Heimdall’s low-latency design and a perfect platform for next-generation gaming consoles and media players.
Flexible Optics — 7 Lens Options
Seven lens options are available, including the all-new EN83, covering throw ratios from 0.53:1 to 4.05:1 — allowing Heimdall to be installed in virtually any room and any location. All throw ratios are adjusted for the 0.98″ DLP device.

Caring for your Speakers and Amplifiers
To Keep your equipment safe these are some best practices to note. Please be advised that this is only to reduce the risk of misuse and is not an exhaustive list.
Speakers
- Speaker terminals are marked red and black, ensure your amplifier to the speakers are wired on the same colours
- Ensure no loose speaker wire from the red touches a loose wire from the black as this will lead to a short circuit and damage either the speaker, the amplifier or both.
- Not all speakers are designed to play at max volume, kindly consider the pairing of your amplifier and speakers
- Speaker cabinets cannot be replaced please handle with care.
AV & Stereo Amplifiers
- If your amplifier has HDMI ports, ensure all devices are off before plugging in the HDMI cable
- Turn off the amplifier before swoping out or adding speaker cable
- Amplifiers generate heat, place them in a well ventilated space. if possible avoid having anything on top of the unit.
- adding a surge protector can assist with power dips which are likely to damage your devices. Isotek and Furman are industry standard.
- Dusty environments can sometimes lead to accumulation of dust in the electronic components that might affect heat regulation
Shipping & Returns
- Free shipping on orders over R500 within the country.
- Standard delivery within 2–5 business days. Delays will be communicated. This might vary slightly depending on your location.
