DVS 1.0 SERIES DVS 801


The DVS 801 is a coaxial surface-mount loudspeaker engineered to provide superb audio performance in both background and foreground music sound systems. Ideally suited for a wide variety of applications, from restaurants and hotels to houses of worship and businesses of all types, the DVS 801 offers the power handling, wide frequency response and low distortion typically found in more expensive products. EN 54-24 certification for fire detection and fire alarm systems makes the DVS 801 the perfect choice where safety is a top priority. The loudspeaker is also UL 1480 certified for fire-protected signalling.

Exceptional Sound and Reliability


The design comprises a 200 mm (8.00") polypropylene full-range driver and 1.00" ferrofluid cooled soft dome high frequency driver mounted in a UV and weather resistant UL 94-V0 ABS enclosure. Dust protection is provided in the form of an attractive aluminium mesh grille. The paper cone material and butyl rubber surround enhance durability and long-term reliability. DVS 801 is specifically designed for applications requiring the combination of excellent music and speech sound quality and exceptional reliability

Weather-Resistant Enclosure

The elegantly styled semi-matt black moulded enclosure blends beautifully into any décor. Additionally, the DVS 801 design and performance has achieving an IP64 rating, making it an exceptional choice for both indoor and outdoor environments such as indoor swimming pools, health suites, or work areas with unusually high levels of dust or moisture, and outdoor applications where weather conditions are moderate.

Caring for your Speakers and Amplifiers

To Keep your equipment safe these are some best practices to note. Please be advised that this is only to reduce the risk of misuse and is not an exhaustive list.

Speakers

  • Speaker terminals are marked red and black, ensure your amplifier to the speakers are wired on the same colours
  • Ensure no loose speaker wire from the red touches a loose wire from the black as this will lead to a short circuit and damage either the speaker, the amplifier or both.
  • Not all speakers are designed to play at max volume, kindly consider the pairing of your amplifier and speakers
  • Speaker cabinets cannot be replaced please handle with care.

AV & Stereo Amplifiers

  • If your amplifier has HDMI ports, ensure all devices are off before plugging in the HDMI cable
  • Turn off the amplifier before swoping out or adding speaker cable
  • Amplifiers generate heat, place them in a well ventilated space. if possible avoid having anything on top of the unit.
  • adding a surge protector can assist with power dips which are likely to damage your devices. Isotek and Furman are industry standard.
  • Dusty environments can sometimes lead to accumulation of dust in the electronic components that might affect heat regulation
