Reference DAC, headphone amplifier and preamplifier in one. The Luxsin X9 combines AKM's flagship AK4191EQ + AK4499EX decoding, a fully differential balanced circuit from input to headphone output, an ultra-low-noise linear power supply and a powerful AK7739 DSP engine in a CNC-machined aluminium chassis with a 4-inch touchscreen.
True Flagship Design
The motherboard uses a star-shaped voltage distribution circuit that cleanly separates digital and analogue power paths, with ripple as low as 40 nV. The AK4499EX DAC's reference voltage is stabilised by an OPA1612 op-amp for highly accurate signal processing, achieving THD+N of -120 dB for outstanding clarity, resolution and dynamic range.
True Full Balance
Every stage – input decoding, the AK4499EX DAC, OPA1612 I/V conversion, low-pass filtering, R2R volume control, dynamic feedback and the TPA6120A2 headphone amplifier – runs on a fully differential balanced circuit for uncompromising clarity, precision and depth.
Precision R2R Volume Control
A fully balanced R2R volume control built from high-precision components allows left/right channel balance adjustment in 0.1 dB steps, for accurate, distortion-free performance.

Audiophile-Grade Components
Premium red WIMA capacitors, gold-plated aluminium electrolytic capacitors, high-grade non-polarised capacitors, 0.1% high-precision low-temperature-drift resistors, TI/BB OPA1612 op-amps, Ohno Continuous Cast (OCC) silver-plated internal cables and an ultra-high-precision femtosecond clock.
Headphone Amp and Preamp in One
Connectivity includes HDMI ARC, optical, coaxial, analogue RCA inputs, USB-B and USB-C audio inputs, Bluetooth 5.0 (AAC/SBC), Wi-Fi, 12 V trigger in/out and dual subwoofer outputs. Balanced XLR and RCA pre-outs feed your power amplifier or active speakers, while 4.4 mm and XLR4 balanced plus 6.35 mm single-ended outputs drive your headphones.
Diamond-Cut Design
The front panel's diamond-cut bevel sits at a 15° incline for better looks and easier touch control, and the full CNC-machined aluminium chassis provides excellent heat dissipation and durability.

Caring for your Speakers and Amplifiers
To Keep your equipment safe these are some best practices to note. Please be advised that this is only to reduce the risk of misuse and is not an exhaustive list.
Speakers
- Speaker terminals are marked red and black, ensure your amplifier to the speakers are wired on the same colours
- Ensure no loose speaker wire from the red touches a loose wire from the black as this will lead to a short circuit and damage either the speaker, the amplifier or both.
- Not all speakers are designed to play at max volume, kindly consider the pairing of your amplifier and speakers
- Speaker cabinets cannot be replaced please handle with care.
AV & Stereo Amplifiers
- If your amplifier has HDMI ports, ensure all devices are off before plugging in the HDMI cable
- Turn off the amplifier before swoping out or adding speaker cable
- Amplifiers generate heat, place them in a well ventilated space. if possible avoid having anything on top of the unit.
- adding a surge protector can assist with power dips which are likely to damage your devices. Isotek and Furman are industry standard.
- Dusty environments can sometimes lead to accumulation of dust in the electronic components that might affect heat regulation
