Depth 215 Subwoofer
Depth 215 is MartinLogan's flagship subwoofer and the fullest expression of the company's bass engineering. Two active 15-inch Carbon Aerocore woofers sit in a force-cancelling BalancedForce layout, driven by dual Class-D amplifiers totalling 4,400W dynamic peak (2,200W RMS) and governed by a 64-bit Vojtko DSP engine. The result is enormous, effortless output with vanishingly low distortion, equally at home in a reference two-channel system or a dedicated home cinema.
BalancedForce Woofer System
The two 15-inch woofers are mounted in exact opposition, so their equal and opposite forces cancel instead of being passed into the cabinet. With cabinet resonance effectively removed, bass stays tight and articulate at any volume and blends seamlessly with high-end main speakers.
Carbon Aerocore Woofers
Each cone is a tri-layer construction: a carbon-fibre outer skin, a rigid, ultra-light PMI foam core and a fibreglass backing. The cone is extremely stiff yet nimble, suppressing resonance and ringing. Triple venting and dual copper shorting rings push distortion lower still.
Concealed, Convection-Cooled Amplifier
The amplifiers are completely hidden. The extruded aluminium trim on the rear edges doubles as heatsinks, drawing in cool air and exhausting heat, while the inputs sit discreetly along the bottom rear edge for neat cable management.
64-bit Vojtko DSP and ARC Genesis
A 500MHz, 64-bit DSP controls every aspect of performance in real time and supports Anthem Room Correction (ARC Genesis). A premium ARC calibration microphone, stand and cables are included, and calibration takes only a few minutes on a PC or Mac.
Vault-Like Cabinet
Variable-thickness walls from 1 to 3 inches, reinforced woofer baffles and a central dividing wall create an exceptionally inert enclosure. Integrated anti-vibration feet minimise energy transfer into the floor (carpet spikes included), cutting rattles and noise in adjoining rooms.
Connectivity, Wireless and Control
Inputs include XLR (stereo or LFE), RCA stereo and LFE, and speaker-level, plus an RCA sub output for chaining additional subwoofers. A wireless receiver is built in and a wireless transmitter is included. Adjust settings from your listening seat with the MartinLogan Subwoofer Control app for iOS and Android, or use the concealed Touch Control Interface behind the backlit front logo, whose colour is selectable or can be switched off.

Caring for your Speakers and Amplifiers
To Keep your equipment safe these are some best practices to note. Please be advised that this is only to reduce the risk of misuse and is not an exhaustive list.
Speakers
- Speaker terminals are marked red and black, ensure your amplifier to the speakers are wired on the same colours
- Ensure no loose speaker wire from the red touches a loose wire from the black as this will lead to a short circuit and damage either the speaker, the amplifier or both.
- Not all speakers are designed to play at max volume, kindly consider the pairing of your amplifier and speakers
- Speaker cabinets cannot be replaced please handle with care.
AV & Stereo Amplifiers
- If your amplifier has HDMI ports, ensure all devices are off before plugging in the HDMI cable
- Turn off the amplifier before swoping out or adding speaker cable
- Amplifiers generate heat, place them in a well ventilated space. if possible avoid having anything on top of the unit.
- adding a surge protector can assist with power dips which are likely to damage your devices. Isotek and Furman are industry standard.
- Dusty environments can sometimes lead to accumulation of dust in the electronic components that might affect heat regulation
