Special Order Item. General ETA +/-4 weeks
Named after the ninth-century Norse poet appointed by Odin as the court poet of Valhalla, the Barco Bragi is a 4K UHD single-chip DLP projector with a groundbreaking solid-state RGB LED light source. Sharing the same design philosophy, optical core, and lens range as its sibling the Balder, Bragi introduces Barco’s High Lumen Density (HLD) LED illumination technology — delivering exceptional colour fidelity, incredible brightness, and an industry-leading light source lifetime of up to 50,000 hours.
HLD LED Light Source — Up to 50,000 Hours
Bragi’s brand-new optical engine uses High Lumen Density (HLD) LED illumination — a solid-state technology with no moving parts that works around the law of étendue to deliver a superb colour experience and impressive brightness. HLD LED enables new levels of resolution and colour saturation, with the human eye perceiving colours as richer and brighter than physical measurements alone would suggest. The result is a light source lifetime of up to 50,000 hours (brightness mode dependent), with service recommended after 20,000 hours.
Professional-Grade Optics
Bragi’s optical engine inherits the best elements from Barco’s previous residential platforms, combined with new technologies to create an even more refined optical core. Custom-designed aspherical glass elements and enhanced low-dispersion glass lenses deliver outstanding image clarity and uniformity (>90%) across the entire screen.
State-of-the-Art Pulse Electronics
Barco’s Pulse electronics are built on a superior FPGA platform with a dual-core processor on the industry’s only 20nm SoC, featuring 96 transceiver lanes delivering 3.3 Tbps of serial bandwidth. Single Step Processing (SSP™) processes 4K UHD, HDMI™ 2.0a, HDCP 2.2, and HDR10 signals with extremely low latency, using the latest 0.9″ DMD DLP chipset to display flawless 4K UHD (3,840 × 2,160) images.
P7 RealColor™ & DCI-P3 Filter
Combining HLD LED illumination with Barco’s P7 RealColor™ processing, Bragi enables simple and accurate calibration to any desired colour gamut or white point. A motorised DCI/P3 internal filter provides improved HDR colour accuracy for cinematic content.
Flexible Installation
With 360° free rotation, up to 88% vertical and 38% horizontal motorised lens shift, and a comprehensive EN lens range (including periscope and ultra-short throw options), Bragi adapts to virtually any installation geometry. Native driver modules for Crestron, Control4, RTI, and Savant ensure seamless smart home integration.

Caring for your Speakers and Amplifiers
To Keep your equipment safe these are some best practices to note. Please be advised that this is only to reduce the risk of misuse and is not an exhaustive list.
Speakers
- Speaker terminals are marked red and black, ensure your amplifier to the speakers are wired on the same colours
- Ensure no loose speaker wire from the red touches a loose wire from the black as this will lead to a short circuit and damage either the speaker, the amplifier or both.
- Not all speakers are designed to play at max volume, kindly consider the pairing of your amplifier and speakers
- Speaker cabinets cannot be replaced please handle with care.
AV & Stereo Amplifiers
- If your amplifier has HDMI ports, ensure all devices are off before plugging in the HDMI cable
- Turn off the amplifier before swoping out or adding speaker cable
- Amplifiers generate heat, place them in a well ventilated space. if possible avoid having anything on top of the unit.
- adding a surge protector can assist with power dips which are likely to damage your devices. Isotek and Furman are industry standard.
- Dusty environments can sometimes lead to accumulation of dust in the electronic components that might affect heat regulation
