Barco’s internally developed DynaBlack® smart algorithm enhances the I600-4K8’s contrast ratio to an extraordinary 20,000:1, delivering superlative black levels that make dark scenes truly stand out with incredible depth and detail.
Next-Generation Pulse Electronics & SuperShift®
Built on Barco’s superior FPGA-based Pulse platform with a dual-core processor on the industry’s only 20nm SoC and 96 transceiver lanes delivering 3.3 Tbps of serial bandwidth, the I600-4K8 processes 4K UHD, HDMI™ 2.1, HDCP 2.2, and HDR signals with extremely low latency. Barco SuperShift® technology further enhances pixel sharpness and image smoothness beyond conventional single-chip DLP.
Laser Phosphor Light Source — Up to 30,000 Hours
The blue laser phosphor light source with inorganic phosphor wheel delivers exceptional colour fidelity and image uniformity (>90%) with up to 30,000 hours in Long Life Mode. Constant Light Output (CLO) maintains consistent brightness throughout the laser’s lifetime, and near-instant on/off eliminates warm-up delays.
P7 RealColor™ & Flexible Installation
P7 RealColor™ processing enables accurate calibration to any desired colour gamut and white point. With 360° free rotation, up to 110% vertical and 30% horizontal motorised lens shift, and a full ILD lens range from 0.37 UST to 7.4:1 long-throw, the I600-4K8 adapts to virtually any single or multi-channel installation geometry.
Pulse Ecosystem & Connectivity
Fully integrated into Barco’s Pulse ecosystem, the I600-4K8 is managed via Pulse Prospector, Pulse Mobile App (Android & iOS), Pulse Toolset, and Insights Management Suite (IMS) for on-site and cloud-based projector control. An optional input slot supports Quad DP1.2, Fiber SFP, HDBaseT, 12G-SDI, and DMX expansion.

Caring for your Speakers and Amplifiers
To Keep your equipment safe these are some best practices to note. Please be advised that this is only to reduce the risk of misuse and is not an exhaustive list.
Speakers
- Speaker terminals are marked red and black, ensure your amplifier to the speakers are wired on the same colours
- Ensure no loose speaker wire from the red touches a loose wire from the black as this will lead to a short circuit and damage either the speaker, the amplifier or both.
- Not all speakers are designed to play at max volume, kindly consider the pairing of your amplifier and speakers
- Speaker cabinets cannot be replaced please handle with care.
AV & Stereo Amplifiers
- If your amplifier has HDMI ports, ensure all devices are off before plugging in the HDMI cable
- Turn off the amplifier before swoping out or adding speaker cable
- Amplifiers generate heat, place them in a well ventilated space. if possible avoid having anything on top of the unit.
- adding a surge protector can assist with power dips which are likely to damage your devices. Isotek and Furman are industry standard.
- Dusty environments can sometimes lead to accumulation of dust in the electronic components that might affect heat regulation
