Denon DL-110 High Output Moving Coil Phono Cartridge
The Denon DL-110 is a high-output moving coil phono cartridge that bridges the gap between the convenience of moving magnet and the sonic superiority of moving coil. With an output voltage of 1.6mV — high enough to drive a standard MM phono input directly — the DL-110 delivers the low-mass, high-resolution character of a true MC cartridge without requiring a dedicated MC phono stage or step-up transformer. Handspun at Denon’s Shirakawa Audio Works factory in Japan, it is built to extract every detail from your vinyl with total authority.
Key Features
- High Output Moving Coil: 1.6mV output voltage — compatible with standard MM phono inputs, eliminating the need for a dedicated MC phono stage or step-up transformer.
- True MC Performance: Low-mass moving coil generator delivers the transient response, dynamic range, and musical detail retrieval that MC cartridges are renowned for.
- Handspun in Japan: Each DL-110 is hand-wound at Denon’s Shirakawa Audio Works factory, continuing a tradition of Japanese cartridge craftsmanship dating back to the 1960s.
- Wide Frequency Response: 20Hz – 45kHz for full-range audio reproduction from deep bass to extended high frequencies.
- Versatile Compatibility: Works with MM phono inputs on integrated amplifiers, AV receivers, and phono preamps — no additional equipment required.
- Groove Accuracy: Precision stylus geometry extracts information from the groove with total authority and minimal distortion.

Caring for your Speakers and Amplifiers
To Keep your equipment safe these are some best practices to note. Please be advised that this is only to reduce the risk of misuse and is not an exhaustive list.
Speakers
- Speaker terminals are marked red and black, ensure your amplifier to the speakers are wired on the same colours
- Ensure no loose speaker wire from the red touches a loose wire from the black as this will lead to a short circuit and damage either the speaker, the amplifier or both.
- Not all speakers are designed to play at max volume, kindly consider the pairing of your amplifier and speakers
- Speaker cabinets cannot be replaced please handle with care.
AV & Stereo Amplifiers
- If your amplifier has HDMI ports, ensure all devices are off before plugging in the HDMI cable
- Turn off the amplifier before swoping out or adding speaker cable
- Amplifiers generate heat, place them in a well ventilated space. if possible avoid having anything on top of the unit.
- adding a surge protector can assist with power dips which are likely to damage your devices. Isotek and Furman are industry standard.
- Dusty environments can sometimes lead to accumulation of dust in the electronic components that might affect heat regulation
